About Guy

If you got this far you already know that my name is Guy and that I’m an artist and a jeweler.

Well I wasn’t always a jeweler.

Since very young age I was attracted to crafts and tools (specially my father’s tools) and I use to experiment and create all kinds of crafts, usually made of wood, copper wires and stuff I took apart from old toys. Yet, when I was looking for my first “real” job, I went to the Hi-Tech industry “to make a lot of money”.

After about 2 years in the software industry, I realized that I really don’t want to do it for the rest of my life but it took me a while to find out that my real passion is making jewelry. For me, it’s like a magic, to take some pieces of metal and turn them into a piece of jewelry, that some people might wear it for the rest of their lives

And so, while working in various “hi-tech” jobs I started studying the art of jewelry and started experimenting with various styles and techniques, including working with precious metals, wax carving, stones setting, hand engraving, steel tool making and wood carving. My job allowed me to pay for my studies and to purchase all the tools needed to create my jewelry using the above techniques.

After a few years of studying and experimenting I decided to fulfill my dream and to become a full time artist and jeweler.

Now I design my unique jewelry, inspired by nature as well as classic and contemporary art, combining the various techniques that I mastered. In my jewelry, I like to have some contrast, using hard and soft materials, rough textures and shiny finish, sharp and smooth lines. I also love creating engraved jewelry as I feel that I share the ancient secret of engraving while using it on new and contemporary pieces of jewelry. Another type of jewelry that I create, is made of olive wood combined with gold and diamonds. The olive wood has beautiful grains and colors and the combination with gold is magnificent.
